Adopting the Best Practice
Our number one priority is the safety and security of our customers and teams. When we reopen our hotels for all customers, we want to create an environment where everyone has peace of mind - whether you are staying or working with us.
Best Western Lord Haldon Hotel has put a plan together of cleaning and social distancing measures, designed to keep our guests and teams safe. The programme has been developed by a dedicated cross functional hygiene strategy team and has become the basis for our new way of working.
Cleaning & Hygiene
Increased cleaning frequency of high touch points in public areas and bedrooms
Customer hand sanitiser stations in key locations
Cleaning using antiviral disinfectant effective against Coronavirus
Comprehensive training of every hotel team member on cleaning, hygiene and social distancing
Social Distancing

Reception distancing floor signage and protective screens at check in
PPE provided to all hotel team members. Whilst there is no Government guidance on the need to wear face masks in hotels, these are available should team members choose to wear them
Contactless Measures
To minimise contact, housekeeping teams will not enter bedrooms during your stay
Contactless payment available
How often will my room be cleaned?
To minimise contact with rooms our housekeeping teams will not enter your bedroom during your stay unless you are staying more than six nights. If you require additional tea and coffee or towels during your stay, please ask a member of our team who will be happy to help.
Can I request that housekeepers do not enter my room?
Our housekeeping team will not enter your room until after you check out, unless you are staying for more than six nights when your room will be cleaned automatically on the seventh day of your stay. If you do not wish to have your room cleaned at all during your stay, please place the Do Not Disturb hanger outside your room.
Do the cleaning products you use kill Coronavirus?
Our hotel teams are cleaning using antiviral disinfectant proven to kill Coronavirus. Our teams are increasing the cleaning frequency of high touch points in public areas and bedrooms such as switches, handles and soft furnishings. All linen and towels are thermally disinfected after every stay.
How are you ensuring your hotel teams are healthy to work and what processes are in place to ensure other guests staying at the hotel are healthy?
Our number one priority is the safety and security of our customers and teams. We want to create an environment where everyone has peace of mind - whether you are staying or working with us. We have strict processes in place that our hotel teams follow when they arrive for work or if they start to show symptoms or if they cannot come in to work.
There is a communication displayed in every room clearly outlining our safety procedures and actions our guests must take if they feel unwell and have COVID-19 symptoms. All hotel team members are also fully trained on the procedures they must follow should this situation arise.
Will your hotel be serving food and drinks in the restaurant and bar?
Yes, our Bar & Restaurant are opened.
