From the M5

Leave the M5 at Junction 31 signposted to Okehampton A30.

Approximately 2 miles along that dual carriageway, the first turning on the left is a slip road, signposted to Moretonhampstead and Exeter, take that road, dropping down to an island, keep in the left hand lane, signposted to Ide and Dunchideock.

After 0.7 of a mile turn left into the Village of Ide following this road through the Village of Ide up the hill into the country.

After approx 2.5 miles you will see a Telephone Box on the left hand side. Take the next turning left opposite a Thatched Cottage.

Follow this road for 0.5 of a mile and immediately after going under a low Stone Bridge, turn left into the entrance drive of the Hotel.

From the centre of Exeter

Follow the A30 signs to:

Okehampton/Plymouth, taking the road over the River Exe. Following the signs for Marsh Barton TradingEstate/Okehampton/ Plymouth, proceed along this road through sets of traffic lights. When you pass Sainsbury’s on your left, move over into the middle lane, which becomes the right hand lane at the next set of traffic lights. At the major roundabout go straight across, following signs to Ide.

Follow this road through the village and up the hill into the country. After approx 2.5 miles you will see a Telephone Box on the left hand side. Take the next turning left opposite a Thatched Cottage. Follow this road for 0.5 of a mile and immediately after going under a low Stone Bridge, turn left into the entrance drive of the Hotel.

From the A38

(Coming from Cornwall and South Devon)

On the A38 from Plymouth, when the Devon and Exeter Race Course is on your right, with a Petrol Station on your left, you will see a large sign to Dunchideock on your left.

Turn left at the ‘T’ junction, and follow the road through the forest for approx 3 miles, going straight over any crossroads and passing Belvedere Tower on your right.

After passing the village signs, turn right opposite a Thatched Cottage with pillars supporting the roof.

Follow this road for 0.5 of a mile and immediately after going under a low Stone Bridge, turn left into the entrance drive of the Hotel.

(The hotel is approx 10 minutes from the A38).
